After about a decade and a half of learning the trade technics and perfecting the art of making tasty Dabelis, Mrs. Sonal & Mr. Vipul Patel started their maiden venture under the brand name of Kutchi King on May 23rd 2012 with a small unit at Parasnagar in Ahmedabad. With success of this module people known to them approached for becoming partners compelling them to venture into the food chain in an organized manner.

With success followed growth and as anticipated, the Kutchi King outlets grew to a number of more than 150 outlets across the entire stretch of Gujarat.  The young Patel couple still had an uphill task of promoting the business, setting up new outlets, designing new recipes, adding value to the brand and its image and competing with global brands and to add to it the training to be given to the prospective franchise owners and maintaining the standards on which the development of the brand was based. They left no stone unturned which resulted into Kutchi King becoming a household name, a name synonymous with Dabeli, a name that brought royalty into this desi burger called Dabeli.

To uphold the quality of the bakery products like the Dabeli Buns and breads, the group decided to join hands with their business associates and set up a bakery in Ahmedabad which specially makes bakery products based on unique recipes specifically decided to enhance the quality of the end products of the group.

The Kutchi King group now proudly boasts about the huge variety of products they serve at their outlets. Between 2012 and 2014 they enriched their menu by adding their USP product “Kutchi Bowl” which later on was followed by the Vadapav, Burgers, Sandwiches and Milkshakes.

By the mid 2014 this group had already become huge and needed expert guidance and technical associates. This was the time when Mr. Karanraj Tanna was roped into the management and was bestowed upon the responsibility of restructuring the Organization and taking it to the national arena. An experienced person like Karan who had already worked for General Motors and McKinsey and Company proved to be a blessing in disguise. He now heads the development of this chain in the entire India and has set up many outlets in Nagpur and Mumbai. Under his guidance came in the Standard Operating procedures, the ERP system, marketing strategies, guidelines for the growth of the company and the team building exercise. Kutchi King is now the only QSR chain in the mid segment which proudly hands over a beautifully designed SOP book to their franchise partners and thereby making it very easy for them to maintain standards and earn enough. At Kutchi King, everybody seems to be on a mission “If Burgers and Pizza can become a global brand then why can’t Dabeli and Vadapav become global”


Dabeli a chatpata, crunchy and natkhat combination of bread buns with stuffing of vegetables, a dash of delicious chatnis and loads of masaledaar singdana is rightfully termed as the Desi burger which gives the American Burgers a run for its money.  The Kutchi King family has aptly carved out a niche in preparation of Dabeli and making it accessible even to the common man in India. At Kutchi King, you would see posters which proudly displays them to be the leading brand which has served more than One Crore Dabelis across 150+ outlets.

Kutchi Bowl is the USP of this group which is made with the same ingredients like the Dabeli but has fried bread crumbs instead of the bun which gives the most required crunch to the product.
